Responsible Material Sourcing
Whenever possible we use post-consumer recycled materials in our products. Through that effort we will have up-cycled millions of plastic bottles since Fall 2019.

Professional Certifications & Affiliations
Rumpl has been a member of 1% For the Planet since 2017 and is Climate Neutral Certified, meaning we offset the carbon emissions of our entire company.
As a Climate Neutral Certified brand, Rumpl is fully carbon neutral. This means we offset our scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions—the full carbon footprint our business activity generates by purchasing verified offsets. We are committed to measuring our footprint annually, reducing what we can, and off-setting the rest. We were a part of the "freshman class" of Climate Neutral brands, and are proud to support this pioneering organization.
Rumpl is a proud member of 1% For The Planet. That means that every fiscal year we give 1% of our sales to support environmental non-profits. Through this membership we've been able to support causes like Save The Waves, Outdoor Afro, 5 Gyres, The National Parks Foundation and The Raincoast Conservation Foundation and more. By growing our partnership with 1% For The Planet, we’re excited to expand the list of organizations we are able to support in the future.
In 2021, Rumpl officially became B Corp Certified. The B Corp Certification means that Rumpl has proven a commitment to social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. As we look to the future responsibly, we’re excited to be a force for good in the outdoor industry. To be clear, this certification is not just another box we’ve checked, but a commitment to consistently improve the way we’re doing business.
In addition to our year-round environmental commitments, we periodically support local and grassroots causes that we believe in.
For our Growth Series with British Colombia-based photographer Jeremy Koreski, we wanted to give back to the Canadian landscapes featured in the series. As part of the launch, we donated to the Raincoast Conservation Foundation, a team of conservationists and scientists empowered by the research to protect the lands, waters, and wildlife of costal British Columbia. Using informed advocacy, their research has formed the basis of their conservation efforts since 1990
In collaboration with both Osprey and artist Jeremy Collins, we committed $5,000 to American Rivers for our Three Canyons launch. The American Rivers team works to create a future of clean water and healthy rivers everywhere, for everyone, working closely with river and water conservationists nationwide.
Cultural appropriation of Native American and Indigenous artwork is a problem in the outdoor industry. We partnered up with artists Darby Raymond-Overstreet (Navajo) and Jordan Ann Craig (Northern Cheyenne) to create a collection benefiting First Peoples Fund, an organization dedicated to supporting Native and Indigenous artists and culture bearers.
In Portland, Oregon, we are confronted with the homelessness epidemic on a daily basis. Sheltersuit Foundation aims to provide immediate shelter to the homeless through upcycled materials with their innovative convertible jackets and sleeping bags. Returned Rumpl blankets were converted into Shelterbags and distributed to people experiencing homelessness.
The ocean is one of our favorite outdoor playgrounds, and it is important for us to partner with organizations that are committed to its preservation. Save The Waves is specifically focused on preserving coastal surf ecosystems. A portion of every sale of our Ocean Fade blanket supports Save The Wave's mission to protect surf ecosystems around the globe.
We love being outside, and we love adventure. Consequently, we're heartbroken when those who have dedicated their lives to an outdoor passion suffer a life-altering injury that prevents them from doing what they love. We have been proud to support the High Fives Foundation, an organization that provides resources, recovery and hope to athletes with life-altering injuries.
After being surrounded by the homeless epidemic in San Francisco, we decided to do what we could to help the problem. We partnered with the Episcopal Services Navigation Center and gave all 75 of their residents new, clean Rumpl blankets. In addition to our donation, we also contributed $5 of every blanket sold from November 13-17 to the center that year.

On Giving Tuesday in 2019 we committed a portion of our sales to the nation's leading hunger non-profit. Our contribution was able to provide over 50,000 meals to families facing hunger and food insecurity.
At Rumpl we believe in the freedom to love whoever you want, simple as that. All too often people are discriminated against and ridiculed for being themselves, often to the point of self-harm or even suicide. We are grateful to be able to give back to The Trevor Project, who is committed to the prevention of teen suicide in LGBTQ communities.
